Caramelised Garlic and Mozzarella Toastie
Gooey Garlic Cheesy Toastie - Caramelised Garlic & Parsley Butter is used to coat the bread and Mozzarella makes for the most creamy and delicious interior.

For the caramelised garlic
- 1 head Garlic
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
For the toastie
- 4 tbsp Butter (room temperature)
- Pinch dry Parsley (Optional)
- 2 slices of thick White Bread
- 3 slices of Mozzarella Cheese
- 2 tbsp Cheddar
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat Air Fryer to 180C.
Step 2
Preheat oven to Gas Mark6/200C.
Step 3
Remove papery skin from Garlic and trim off 1/4 inch from the head.
Step 4
Place on a large piece of foil.
Step 5
Drizzle over Oil and add Salt and Pepper.
Step 6
Close the foil.
Step 7
Add to an oven tray and cook for 35 - 45 minutes until soft.
Step 8
Leave to cool for at least 10 - 15 minutes.
Step 9
Squeeze the Garlic out of the Bulbs into a bowl.
Step 10
Add Butter and Parsley and mix together until fully combined.
Step 11
Butter both slices of the bread on both sides.
Step 12
Add the Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese to the first layer of bread.
Step 13
Top with the other slice of bread.
Step 14
Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
Step 15
Air Fry at for about 6 minutes for the cheese to melt.
Step 16
Then flip and cook for a further 2 - 4 minutes.
