Ingredients

  • 7oz cooked white rice
  • 1oz grated parmesan
  • 1oz shredded mozzarella
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • NADA Salt and pepper

For the coating

  • 1 egg and 2 tablespoon milk for egg wash
  • 3oz dried breadcrumbs

Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl combine rice, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, parsley and egg. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

Step 2
Insert crisper basket in unit and close lid. Select AIR FRY, set temperature to 200°C and set time to 15 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin preheating.

Step 3
While unit is preheating, divide rice “dough” into 8 equal parts and form balls.

Step 4
In a bowl combine egg and milk. Whisk well to create egg wash. Place breadcrumbs in a different bowl to prepare for breading. First dunk rice balls in egg wash and then coat with breadcrumbs.

Step 5
Once unit beeps to signify it has preheated, open lid and place all rice balls in the crisper basket. Close lid to begin cooking.

Step 6
When cooking is complete, remove rice balls from unit and serve immediately with tomato sauce and salad.
